Our story

West Coast Mennonite Relief Sale (WCMRS) is a group of Mennonite and Anabaptist churches on the West Coast working together to raise money and support for the relief, development and peace work of Mennonite Central Committee (MCC).

Come bring the whole family: there is plenty of food, great desserts, and more. You can bid on a quilt in a live auction or, if you're shy, bid in the silent auction. There's an early morning 5k run/walk or you can join the kids in a scavenger hunt. There's a Country Store, an Art Show, and all the Used Books you can read.  What's more: a Tauga tent, music on the Green and additional activities. Then there's always time for a reunion: family, MCC Alumni, or just friends. The WCMRS only happens once a year so don't miss it.

Admission is free and so is the parking.

Your donations enable MCC to accomplish its mission: sharing God’s love and compassion for all in the name of Christ.

WCMRS is a 501(c)(3) tax-deductible charitable organization and in 2018 we raised $171,000 for the work of MCC.

February 16, 2019 ~ The 36th Annual Run for Relief is a family affair. The fun run/walk starts at 7:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 13th. Meet at Fresno Pacific University track field. Download your per-registration flyer here.

February 16, 2019 ~ Greetings in Jesus name!

We are writing to invite your church to participate in a special project to support our
brothers and sisters in the Democratic Republic of Congo. Over the past year, thousands of
people from the Mennonite Brethren and Mennonite Churches in Congo have been
displaced due to violence. This project will provide emergency food and sanitation items to
830 internally displaced households affected by the conflict and food shortages. MCC is also
providing hygiene kits for 1,000 women and girls. Please read the attached flyer for more

The West Coast Mennonite Relief Sale selected this project for this year’s My Coins Count
Project. Between now and the Fresno Relief Sale (April 12 & 13) we encourage your church
to support the Congolese Church in various ways. First, educate your church, especially the
children, about the needs and regularly remember them in prayer. Two, encourage your
children to regularly bring their coins to support this project. Another flyer contains helpful
tips for promoting this project in your church. Third, seek out a matching donor in your
church that will match any funds raised from your church.

A generous donor pledged to match all funds raised at the Fresno Relief Sale up to $5,000! If
you find a match within your congregation, combined with the overall match, this will mean
that for every penny your children contribute, it will be multiplied 4X. Our hope is that these
matching funds will not only increase the impact of the project but also help foster
generosity in your congregation.

January 16, 2019 -  Something new this year, WCMRS will be using QR Codes. Perhaps you are familiar with them, but if you’re not, here is a recap.

A QR code (quick response code) is a type of 2D bar code that is used to provide easy access to information through a smartphone. In this process, known as mobile tagging, the smartphone's owner points the phone at a QR code and opens a barcode reader app which works in conjunction with the phone's camera and is available for everyone. So when you are at the Sale this coming April, look for them and find out what they have to say.

QR scanner apps can be found at the App Store or a Google Play.

Here’s a YouTube video that will help explain how to use the qr code. [QR Codes] How to use QR Codes

January 14, 2019 - Have you ever been to any auction and the item you would like to bid on and take home, was a desk just to big? This coming sale a professional moving company will be helping us out. If your item is like big size desk, they will help get it to your home, free of charge. Nice deal isn’t?
